Acacia-1 Swedish cover - full

This is the full Swedish cover of the novel 'Acacia - War with the Mein' by David Anthony Durham, which is to be released in Swedish by Norstedts later this year.

I'm responsible for the cover illustration and design. (The title is somewhat changed in the Swedish translation.)

My idea was to go for a rather strict/stern 'directional' composition to bring it a mature (serious) vibe, while the flashing of swords and rhino-beasts are there for the sake of traditional fantasy "excitement".

The figures on the cover are my interpretation of 'The Numrek', a race that I perhaps can describe as prehistorically brutish, or semi-neanderthal... with very pale skin.

As an experienced fantasy reader I can really recommend this book - a truly well written novel which I finished pleasantly disturbed and beautifully wounded...
