This is the first creature concept for Dungeons deep, and it inhabits the upper three levels of the Dungeon (primarily level 2). They prefer damp surroundings and only one or two will be encountered on the rather dry level 1.

The Lomnachs have no eyes and rely on supersensitive touch, smell, and hearing to orient themselves through the subterranean tunnels or corridors. They normally feed on rodents, lizards, spiders, fish and other small critters, but attack all moving things regardless of size.

They dislike fire, and can sense and smell the heat of it. One or two attacks with a torch may send a Lomnach away with some speed.

almost looks like a variant of the rust monster, but, like, an aquatic version

I really love this design. It's an awesome creature, really neat looking. Looks dangerous but not hideous, and it's just awesome to look at. Definitely designed to fit its environment too. :D

You should provide the player with a small permanent light source (perhaps an amulet?) and let them supplement it with torches occasionally- but torches are rare and hard to find in the dungeon and burn out all too quickly.
