I thought I should approach things a bit differently from now on. I need to broaden the contents of my portfolio, and I have had this idea that I have wanted to explore for some time. So, whenever I'm free to pursue this "game" project I will do so.
Think a first person fantasy game, taking place all in a single massive dungeon, much like the classic Dungeon Master, but a modern version. What you see here is a concept of a level one tunnel - I call it concept A, because I intend to do a couple of more location concepts from level 1. After that I will do creatures, and perhaps weapons and armor available at the current level. When I think I have made enough concepts for level 1, to generate a good feel for it, I will proceed to level 2, and go deeper into the dungeon.
I will also tell you about my ideas for this fictitious game (which I will realise when I win billions on the lottery I don't buy tickets for)...
Principle number 1: This is not a game where you speed through tunnels, rooms, caverns in a hack'n slash frenzy. Every location is worth examining, and may hold hidden keys/clues/advantages/dangers for the curious one.
Level 1 - General description: Natural tunnels, here and there strengthened by ancient cultivated rock. Patches of broken tiles, some cracks in the mountain let through moonlight, and strange dark poisonous plants (which shouldn't be touched or stepped on) grow sparingly.
Also, I'm looking forward to future "Dungeons Deep". I hope to see stuff like Moria.
