The current topic over at 'Creature of the Week' (at ConceptArt.org) is Satyr Slayer. This piece was inspired by that topic. I didn't go out of my way to create a new and fresh creature design, but rather wanted to make a scene from the general theme.
hi i'm making a trading card game and i was wondering if i could use this drawing for a card i will give credit where it is deserved and plus its a easy way to spread your art plus you can still use them for your project the card game is called Paragon Galaxy the concept is a galaxy built where all these worlds exist for the perfect galaxy . The galaxy will grow and grow until this perfection is formed
Yeah, as stated previously, I think I prefer this one. The painting experiment with mood and light and brushwork of the new one is nice, but I do think this is the stronger COW design. The oversized gazelle horns enmeshed with the smaller ones is nice.
Again, just personal preference. I know how much you like acrylics and light.
Oh man, excellent!! I know I just said this about your gargoyle, but I do believe this is your best painting yet! The colors are rich and lush, as is the brush texture. The crispness of the satyr's head and the relative blurriness of its body really make its head come forward. The swirling magic around its hands is a great effect. As for the creature design itself, I feel that this is exactly what a satyr slayer should look like!
Again, just personal preference. I know how much you like acrylics and light.
